I had no idea something like rewarding a child for progressing greatly in his or her literacy skills would be controversial, but then I must live in my own world at times. They [...] Today is a miserably gray day in the Pacific Northwest, but hopefully, someone will get a big smile on their faces and a warm glow inside, either because they: - have just opened mail to find a child’s artwork sent with love - are the adult who mailed a child’s artwork to Color A Smile - are the [...] run your business your way, but, if you choose to have a ‘company’ party, inviting every single employee except two (even if they do not work with the same group and may not find out) is heartless. It also shows some people a side of you they really prefer not to have seen (or rather [...] It is true I lived vicariously through our son. And for the record he and his wife are doing well: plotting their careers, spending time with friends, spending time with their out of state parents and in-laws, spending time with each other, and on themselves. . . and I still live vicariously through them as [...] |
