2005 — First summer in Washington. . . Summer, fleece, NOT Florida, YES!!!! It is all about balance: incoming vs. outgoing in our bank accountsrisk vs. conservatism in our investmentseating good food vs. bad foodgiving vs. takingrelaxation vs. worksitting vs. standingawake vs. asleepwearing too much vs. too littleexercise vs. sedentarythis hobby vs. that hobbychildren vs. houseworkbeing overly saturated by news vs. being unaware of the world around usspeaking vs. [...] I have been browsing blogger land a lot in recent days. I knew there was a disparity between the salary of some CEOs and their employees, but these numbers are insane. Check them out at Cobb on Money’s December post. I already feel guilty enough some days just having food on the table and [...] Soft snow, soft clouds dot Western Washington. (But don’t tell anyone, everyone thinks it only rains out here, and there are too many people on the roads as it is) An RV Park within view of one of the ferry docks, Washington state, you know, where it rains all the time. And today is as beautiful as that day was. . . We attended another RV show. (What can I say, exercise and new knowledge rolled into one.) Saturday we walked for two hours, Sunday, another four. The bad news, first. There were not as many visitors as normal, perhaps, because another RV show had been at the same venue this year already. (Or maybe [...] Normal sized stapler for size comparison. My first laptop, bought in 1999 when I retired. I still remembering running back to the old office with it in hand, just long enough for those who knew how much I wanted one to smile with me! The battery has seen better days, but last I tried the [...] Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, FL. . . 1978-1981 or so, I found it the perfect place to push our son in a stroller rather than on the streets. Back then a year’s pass was CHEAP. I admit, I am one who does not want a sales employee around me until I either have a question that can’t be answered by reading the information on the box or invoice or I am ready to buy. I do, however, expect, even want, a simple greeting followed by an I am here [...] Need I say more? Yes! No bad luck for me, I accept only good luck in my life. (After all, this should have been in the trash in November, and instead it was here to make my blogging easier this morning. . . ) |
