I chose an extremely short video, about 34 seconds, but they are doing some of my favorite moves, especially toward the end. . . Enjoy. . . feel the music.
Now, y’all know I usually take my own photos, but I have been suffering withdrawal from my belly dancing (15 years about of both the dance and the withdrawal) – so humor me this once, and just enjoy the short peek. No, not peek, it is not a peep show. . .
I wish Fat Chance Bellydance was here. . . sigh.
It’s calling me:
Marika, come back, start belly dancing again. . . you are never too old, just tape your eyelids up, veil the wrinkled neck. . . that music, those drums. I’m about to give in. I, a supposed poet, cannot describe how magical it is to just dance — with — not to — that music, to spin and throw your hips and toss your hair. . . Gypsy’s had the right idea, too. And I can’t tell you how sore I’ll be after 15 years of not — but I think it is time.
