If you think about a problem hard enough, long enough, often enough, openly enough, with the intention of solving it, you may just find a solution — though it may not be the solution you want it to be. Sad moods will sometimes overwhelm you, but with some effort you can usually chase them away — after they have served their purpose — and cleansed your soul. One door closes, another opens except when one door closes and just a small window opens, but if you get your foot or another wedge in there quick enough, you can make the opening big enough for all of you! If you try doing something you don’t normally do – and you have a deadline – it will take two to three times longer to do than you expect it to! (Note: this is not a fiction of my mind, this is truly reality, I have proven it to myself repeatedly, including all weekend and again [...] When you leave the hose out all over the yard (and the weeds you forgot to take to the recycling can because you got side-tracked) — the yardman will come a day early while you are out running around having a good time. At least ours was nice enough to roll up our hose [...] Though there are indeed times nothing will go right, there are also times that things will just fall into place repeatedly. Visualize the latter and maybe Murphy of Murphy’s Law fame will take a hike more often. When two people agree to do something together, it may not get done. Someone out there is always better at something than you are. They may not be where you can see them, they may even be a generation after you. It is not being the best of everyone we need to fight for, it is being the best we can be. Suble difference, but [...] Vacations end, work begins, it is up to the individual to find joy in returning to work – and some weeks it may be much harder than others. |
