It is bad enough that so many people get caught up in, “I’ll just pay it a week late”, even when they have the money. But to have a business owner not pay his or her employees on time, especially when they are a solvent business…. What happened to responsibility in finances? Exceptions to rules are fine – and make sense – when those exceptions are thought out with care. When you just allow them when convenient to you or when you don’t wish to take the time to think, or for favorites, you undermine not only your authority, but your esteem in your employee’s eyes. And, once [...] People, in general, wonder why so many businesses go out of business. I wonder why as many stay in business as they do. I realize it is difficult at times for management to get their point across to employees, to train them, to help them learn to treat customers as though they have value. And for [...] If you cannot do a job with integrity, it is not the job for you. Find another one. Side note: Just because some are going along with you does not mean even they have not lost respect for you – and I bet for some of you, if you took the time to look inside, you [...] … more than people realize! Family: it is well known family time is important and working for a living to a point interferes with that process, but it is a necessary and for the most part good evil. There is much to be gained other than money by spending hours working “together”! Those who can afford it [...] Pizza delivery. Many times it is successful. Pizza still warm, delivery driver personable, food edible. We eat, we forget to take the time to say to the management, “job well done.” I know we are not the only ones. I could be talking about in a simple conversation, because it applies there, too; I am not. I am referring to vehicle drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists. OK, that first line was a half-truth, I am quite sure once I started I could probably keep ranting, but for today, my husband takes preference. He has allowed me to write to my heart’s content, ignore the [...] A simple rant today, but important. Would some designers of parking lots please reconsider their jobs? While they are reconsidering theirs, would those in charge of line maintenance please reconsider theirs as well? At least reconsider the responsibilities you have to public safety.Parking lot maintenance: We won’t even discuss giant potholes. [...] |
